Opal Belle Bogard Roberts, 66, of Segovia, passed away Thursday, Aug. 28, 2008, at her residence. Opal, the youngest of five siblings, was born in Brownfield, Texas, on April 25, 1942, to Tom and Dorothy Bogard. After completing Bula High School in 1960, Opal attended Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Texas.

Following graduation, Opal began her 30-year career in education in McCamey, Texas, where she taught in the classroom for four years.
On Jan. 21, 1968, Opal was married to Delbert Roberts in the Methodist Church in Bula, Texas.
