Dallas M. Weir, 82, of Winston-Salem, died Friday, Sept. 1, 2000, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born May 20, 1918, in Forsyth County to George A. and Irene Linville Wear. Mr. Weir was a member of First United Church of Christ. He was a graduate of R.J. Reynolds High School and served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was retired from the parts department of Frolic Cadillac Co. He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. Survivors include his wife, Wilmoth "Bill" L. Weir of the home; a son, Mark Weir and wife Gail of Mocksville; two daughters, Carolyn W. Beck of Winston-Salem and Martha W. Williams and husband Jeep of Pfafftown; four grandchildren, Nick and Adam Weir, Julie Beck Chriscoe and husband Steve, and Jodie Williams; a great-grandson, Dylan Chriscoe; a sister, Marymena Flynt of Winston-Salem; and a number of nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Christa Warise.
