Burial list of Melbourne Cemetery transcribed and submitted
by Shirley Hathaway March 2003. Both above notices must remain
when copied or downloaded.

The transcription notes indicate that this headstone was present in 1969 and verified by Hazel Wade, and was located in the cemetery survey done 25 Jul 2001 by Shirley Hathaway, Cindy Anderson, Barbara Frum and Pat Clemons.
[The Goss family plot is surrounded in concrete, with concrete posts on each corner and several on the sides. It appears that is was a very expensive plot. Gate was still present as of 25 Jul 2001, however it is laying to the side. The family plot has a large center stone that reads "Goss Family".
An article was written in the Montesano Vidette in 1972, confirming the Goss burial information.]
--------------------------------------------------------------------
According to local Montesano historian, Pat Clemons, the headstone for Abel Goss was moved to Wynooche Cemetery, to be near other family members, at the request of his descendants [see Find A Grave Memorial# 114519217].
