Melvin James "Mickey" McNeal was born May 16, 1920 in Fortuna, son of James and Josie Stargell McNeal. On August 10, 1947 he married Betty B. Hood, who survives. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII.
Melvin died Wednesday at Bothwell Regional Health Center, aged 65 years. He is also survived by three sons, Melvin, Mark and Myron McNeal, and two daughters, Kay Carr and Melody Bell. Burial will be in Hopewell cemetery. - Down By Pinhook - Becky Imhauser and Betty Singer pg.189/190
