Roger Dale Weems Sr. of Queen City, TX, passed from this life Saturday, May 18, 2013 while at home.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents Jessie Neal Weems and Nanny Jeanette Hall; sister Becky Lawson and a special friend Laura Lucas.

He is survived by his daughter Kim George of Atlanta, TX; his son Roger Dale Weems Jr. of Dallas, TX; brothers Louis Weems and Barbie of Atlanta, TX, Jessie Daniel and Janet of Atlanta, TX, Kenneth Daniel and wife Jill of MO; Druey Daniel and Teresa of Texarkana, AR; his sister Joyce Hodges and Jerel of Atlanta, TX; six grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Roger Dale Weems retired from IP as a security person after 25 years of service, with a second retirement from BEAKO manufacturing. He was an avid gun collector. Upon retirement, Roger preferred a Volkswagen over a Harley.

Roger will be greatly missed by his family, friends and the community. He brought joy to many.

Graveside services for Roger will be under the direction of Queen City Funeral Home Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Cave Springs in Linden, TX on Hwy 155.
