Clara (Settle) Wright, beloved wife, mother, sister and friend, went to be with her Lord on May 27, 2015. Clara was born on May 20, 1924 to Bruce and Eula (Sparks) Settle in Bristow, Oklahoma.

Clara grew up in many different areas as her family of 5 followed her father's work, even to the Hoover Dam where he was a carpenter and welder. In recent years, her passions were to deepen her relationship with her Savior through her church's worship, Sunday school and daily bible study. She was a gifted seamstress and enjoyed needlework crafts that she lovingly made for others.

In addition to her parents and brother, John Settle, Clara was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Ray and their only son, David Ray, and her second husband, William Elmo Wright.

Clara is survived by her loving family which includes her sister, Freda Baber, and niece, Nancy (Wayne) Talley, and nephews, Brent (Valerie) and Rob (Lisa) Baber and numerous great nieces and nephews. She was dearly loved by her surviving step-children, Bill (Lynn) Wright, John (Ann) Wright, Jane (Rick) Spence, Kate (Jim) McCauley, Becky (Rusty) Sugg and numerous step-grand and great-grand children.

A celebration of Clara's life will be held at a graveside service on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 4:00 PM at Lakeland Hills Memorial Park, Burnet, TX under the direction of Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home.

Clara's family would like to extend our appreciation for the loving care given to Clara by the staff at Arden Courts Memory Care Community.
