BATTEN, Richard H. `Dick`, 80, of Valrico died January 5, 2001. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie, daughter, Barbara (Mark) Pearson of Dearborn Heights, MI., son William G. Batten of Phoenix, AZ., grandchildren Michelle and Michael Pearson of Dearborn Heights, MI; one sister, Beatrice Noyes of Milwaukee, WI. He was born in Hudson, WI. and graduated from the University of Wisconsin, and was employed as an engineer working 35 years with Cities Service Oil Co. until retiring in 1982. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Buckhorn Springs Golf and Country Club. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to service. Memorial contributions suggested to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2913 S. John Moore Rd., Brandon, Fl. 33511.
