Ione Grant, 87, entered peacefully into rest on May 19, 2013 while at her home in Thatcher. She was born on March 28, 1926 to Oliver Bingham and Ada Taylor Bingham.
Ione was born on March 28, 1926 in Thatcher, Arizona to Oliver and Ada Bingham, one of eight children. She graduated from Thatcher High School, after which she married the love of her life H. Lyle Grant on June 1, 1946. She worked as a beautician for many years and served in many capacities in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
She is survived by her children: Debra(Kris) Spilsbury, Vaughn (Ruth) Grant, Tammy (Danny) Fuentes, Doug (Hilary) Grant, 15 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Zereta Duke, and Adeen Talley.
She was preceded in death by her husband H. Lyle Grant, and infant son Howard Lyle Grant, Jr.
Services will be conducted by Bishop Todd Haynie at the Thatcher LDS Church Street Chapel at 11:00 am Saturday, May 25th.
Visitation will be held at the same location Friday, May 24th, 6:00-8:00 pm and Saturday preceding the services from 9:00 - 10:45 am. Interment to follow at the Thatcher Cemetery.
Final interment will be in the Thatcher cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel.
