PENACOOK - Robert M. Gilbert, 68, of 9 Washington St., died Feb. 5, 2012, at Concord Hospital.
He was born in Franklin, July 23, 1943, to Thomas H. and Vera M. Gilbert. He attended Bristol schools and graduated from Bristol High School in 1961.
He was a veteran of the U.S Navy.
Following his military service he attended and graduated from University of New Hampshire. He was a member of the Bristol United Church of Christ.
He is survived by his mother, Vera Gilbert, of Bristol; three daughters, Shawna Gilbert, Heidi Daniels and Lorna Knapp, all of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a brother, Thomas A. Gilbert, of Concord, several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Thomas H. Gilbert, and sister, Carol J. Eastman.
SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A memorial service will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Bristol United Church of Christ. The Rev. Art Urie will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Bristol United Church of Christ, PO Box 424, Bristol NH 03222. Arrangements are under the direction of Emmons Funeral Home of Bristol.
