Hurlyn was born May 20, 1921 in Mishawaka, IN, to the late Harold "Jack" & Sadie (Powell) Yaw. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Aileen Yaw, three children, Hurlyn "Butch" (Linda) Jr., Curtis (Maureen) and Vicki (Doug) Ekren; six grandchildren (Janna, Eric & Courtney Yaw, Alicia Ervin, Jacob & Kyle Ekren), two great-grandchildren (Tyler Yaw and Tristen Sutton) and numerous other family members.
