Doris was preceded in death by her husband Adolph of 57 years, her son Buzz (buried in Wisconsin), her parents and siblings. She came with her parents to their homestead near Wolf Point, Montana. In 1920 the family moved to their permanent home in Fairview, Montana where she attended school. Doris was a graduate of Montana Normal College at Dillon with a Lifetime Teaching Certificate. She also attended Wisconsin State Normal College in Eau Claire. She and Adolph were married in 1936 and made their home in Antelope until moving to the family farm when Adolph's parents retired in 1952. Doris also taught in Homestead and Lew Wallace School.
