Marjorie Cydelle was born in Marlin, Texas, to the late Walter A. and Della Krumnow Bohn, where she grew up. She worked at Torbett Clinic and also helped her parents on their family dairy farm. After marrying her husband, Donald Graves, on October 19, 1947, they moved to Temple in 1954 where she was a devoted stay-at-home mother who raised four kids. After the children were all in school, she worked many years for Temple Independent School District as a school cafeteria manager. She enjoyed camping, playing 42 with their friends, family cook outs and holidays, cooking, and social gatherings. Music was an important part of their lives. She and Donald enjoyed singing together while she played piano. In her later years, she continued playing the piano for nursing home facilities. She and Donald instilled a love of music into the entire family. Cydelle was a member of Heights Baptist Church in Temple.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; and sister, Frances Bohn Clark.
Cydelle leaves her daughters, Sharon Dell Phillips and husband, Dan, of Temple, and Mary Emily Cox and husband, John, of Holland, Texas; sons, Donald R. Graves and wife, Jackie, of Temple, and Roger K. Graves and wife, Missy, of Ames, Iowa; grandchildren, Leasha K. Graves Southworth and husband, Brian, Chris H. Graves and wife, Becca, Kelli Cox Mills and husband, Chris, Carrie R. Graves Catt and husband, Bobby, Julie A. Cox and fiancé, Tyler Houston, Cara Graves, and Nathan Graves; great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Bryson, Emalee, Abigayle, Troupe, Brynlee, McKinley, Brielle, Caedance, and Knox.
