Karen Lynn Holliday, born Dec. 23, 1987, in King George County passed away Friday, May 17, 2013, at Mary Washington Hospital from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Karen was a 2006 graduate of King George High School and studied at Virginia Tech. She was a talented singer, musician and crafter.

Survivors include her parents, Glenn and Mariann Holliday of King George; two sisters, Jennifer Holliday and wife Jennifer Stone of Westmoreland County and Laura Draudt and husband Jeff Draudt of Christiansburg; brother Wesley Holliday of King George; paternal grandfather Earle Holliday; a niece; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 20, at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, King George. A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 21 at Saint Ignatius Catholic Church Chapel Point, Port Tobacco, Md., with a Mass of the Resurrection beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to King George Fire & Rescue, 8122 Kings Highway, King George, Va. 22485, which responded to Karen's accident.
