American Playwright, Author. Emmy and Tony Award-nominated writer of "Inherit the Wind," co-authored with long-time writing partner Jerome Lawrence. Together they wrote 39 plays and 14 Broadway productions. During World War II, Lawrence and Lee co-founded the Armed Forces Radio Services, which provided entertainment and news to troops both overseas and stateside.
