FUQUAY-VARINA - Mrs. Clara Matthews Adcock, 67, of Rt. 1, Holly Springs, died Tuesday. Funeral 3 p.m. Thursday, Fuquay-Varina Baptist Church, the Revs. Charles E. Dorman and C. Paul Jones. Burial, Greenlawn Memorial Park. Surviving: her husband, John C. Adcock; two daughters, Mrs. Joyce A. Vinci of Atlanta and Mrs. Nell A. Caviness of Fuquay-Varna; a son, E. Brantley (Buck) Adcock of Holly Springs; two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Seagroves of Apex and Mrs. Mavine Cox of Asheboro; two brothers, Charlie of Apex and Ralph C. Matthews of Holly Springs; eight grandchildren.
