He was born March 23, 1920 in a log cabin near Dora, Indiana to Amos and Iona (Rinearson) Mason.
Lloyd was a 1938 graduate of Lincolnville High School. He served in the US Army during WWII, from 1941-1945. He was a recipient of the Bronze Arrowhead for D-Day and 5 campaign stars. He married Lorna M. Fogel in Lincolnville on June 29, 1946.
He was a former member of the Dora Christian Church and a present member of Wabash Alliance Church since 1958. Lloyd worked for General Electric Company in Fort Wayne, Honeywell Incorporated 16 years, for General Tire and Rubber Company 13 years, and was a courier for a local bank, all in Wabash, retiring in 1994.
