A Glynn County native, Mr. Myers was employed as a public health educator. He was affiliated with the International Longshoreman Association and the Glynn Environmental Coalition.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Prospect Baptist Church in Crescent. The Rev. John Coverdell will officiate.
Burial will be held in Belleville Cemetery.
The procession will leave from Mr. Myers' residence in Crescent.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Brunswick Funeral Home.
Mr. Myers is survived by his mother, Irene Myers of Brunswick; his wife, Claudia Myers of Crescent; two sons, Joel Myers of Atlanta and Jamanis Myers of Crescent; a daughter, Mariah Myers of Crescent; three brothers, Moses Myers of Woodbine, Hardy Myers and James Myers, both of Brunswick; a sister, Marcia White of Jacksonville; and a host of other relatives.
