Miss Jessie MacDonald.
Stanley, June 8. - Miss Jessie L. MacDonald, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. MacDonald of Stanley was born January 21, 1890 and died May 30, 1916, aged 26 years, after many weeks of suffering from cancer. Funeral services were held from her late home on Thursday afternoon, June 1, at 2:30 o'clock conducted by Rev. A. B. Temple of Number Nine Presbyterian church and Rev. Frank Winagle of Stanley M. E. Church, her own pastor, Rev. Mr. Paul of the Flint M. E. church being away from home, and she was laid to rest in the beautiful cemetery at Number Nine. The choir from the Flint church sang two of her favorite pieces.
The following names (sic.) are of her friends who acted as bearers: Owen Melious, Lars Jorgensen, Harry Chapman, Charles Smith, George Sweet and Grove Preston. Relatives and friends from away who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Henry King, Ovid; Mrs. George Parish and Arthur King, lnterlaken; Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer King and daughter, Lodi; Mrs. Edith Saeger, Auburn; Mr. and Mrs. Nellis, Penn Yan; Mrs. White, son and daughter, Gorham; Mrs. Thomas Goldsmith, Mrs. George Elby and Albert Farnsworth, Canandaigua; Mr. and Mrs. Salsbury, Charlie and Milburn Salsbury, Mrs. Sweet and George Sweet, Mrs. Elmer Smith, Miss Leulla (sic.)
