Obituary: Dale Alvin Foster Jr., 80, died Saturday May 18, 2013 at All American Care Center in Muscatine. Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Wednesday 22, 2013 at the Church of Christ in Muscatine. Visitation will be held 4 to 7 P.M. Tuesday at the Henderson-Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery, West Liberty. Dale was born April 14, 1933 on the family farm near West Liberty the son of Dale Kermit and Ruth Pricilla (Smith) Foster. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the US Army. On September 14, 1957 he was united in marriage to Illa Reid, they later divorced. On September 11, 1989 he was united in marriage to Barbara Allenbaugh in Hannibal, Missouri. He had worked as a Union painter for several years before becoming a Union Electrician at John Deere in East Moline where he worked until his retirement. He was a member of the Muscatine Church of Christ. Enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles, the outdoors taking trips and was always ready to help his family and friends with anything they needed. Survivors include his wife Barbara of Muscatine. Two children: Lori Becker of Rock Hill, South Carolina and David Foster of Muscatine. 6 grandchildren: Sarah Foster, Benjamin Voltz, Tracy Foster, Matt Voltz, Kaitlyn Foster and Becky Voltz, 6 great grandchildren also survive. Two sisters: Darlene Smith of Muscatine and Mary Harris of Wilton. Two Brothers: John Kenneth Foster and his significant other Aledain Mohr of Muscatine and Edwin (Connie) Foster of Muscatine. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ron and a brother in law Phil Harris.
