Edna Alice Marcum Wheatley, 91, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013 in Tallahassee, surrounded by her family.

In Heaven, she has now joined her parents, Winfield and Isabella Green Marcum; her husband of 67 years, Wilson Edward Wheatley; and siblings, Edgar Marcum, Harry Marcum, Irene Smith, Olivia "Ollie" Horne.

She was born March 15, 1922 in Watertown, Florida, and spent her life as a homemaker, devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, where she also served as a Sunday School Teacher and as the Bible describes in Proverbs 31:10, a virtuous woman, whose price is far above rubies.

She is loved and will be greatly missed by her children, Charlotte Isabell Ganey, Lona Wilene Matherne, Alice Deon Ellis and Kimberly Rose Wheatley; grandchildren, Dawn, Lisa, Darin, Ralph, Carl, J.B., Angela, Jeffrey and Wendy; eleven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary Thrasher, Winfield M. "Sonny" Marcum, and Betty Jone Morrison.
