She was born March 1, 1943 in Bloomington, daughter of Jess Carter Sr. and Edith Joyce Adams Carter. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, four sisters, two brothers and stepfather. She married Charles Q. Patterson on Nov. 26, 1994 in Las Vegas. He survives.
She is also survived by her four children, Donna, Jeffery, James "Rob" and Janet; one sister, Carol Stripling; two brothers, Jess Carter Jr. and George Carter; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
