Norman E. Dinger was the son of Norman Monroe Dinger and Fern Mamie Mitchell.

He married Erma J. London on 17 Oct 1958 in PA.

Norman E. Dinger, 89, Punxsutawney, died Thursday, October 20, 2022, in Nashville, Tennessee.

He was born Sept. 15, 1933, in Oliveburg, a son of the late Fern M. (Mitchell) and Norman M. Dinger.

On Oct. 17, 1958, he married the late Erma J. London, who preceded him in death on March 20, 2013.

Norman was an active member of the First Church of God of Punxsutawney. He was a member of the church choir and the Living Christmas Tree for many years.
He worked as a product manager for Stockdale Mine Supply for 25 years and then for Wampum Hardware for another 18 years.

He is survived by two sons, Kirk Dinger and wife Amber of Tampa, Florida, and Scott Dinger and wife Kristie of Springfield, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Alex, Carson and Sierra; a great-granddaughter, Charlotte; and three sisters, Betty Caylor, Evelyn Chambers and Shirley Shaw.

In addition to his wife and parents, Norm was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul, Darl, Billy and infant brother Clayton, and four sisters, Mary London, Geneva Hoffman, Annabelle Caylor and Ruby Burkett.

Friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022, at the First Church of God of Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation beginning at 6 p.m. at the Church with Pastor Bill Young officiating. Interment will be in Olive Cemetery, Oliveburg.
