Mr. Hilburn was a retired Marketing Analyst for Milliken & Company and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He received his Bachelor's and Master's Degree from Georgia Institute of Technology and was a Christian who grew up in the Episcopal faith.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Betty Harkey Hilburn and daughter, Millicent Lovell Styles and son-in-law, Kevin Styles. He was predeceased by a daughter, Heide Minett Hilburn.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Floyd's North Church Street Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Dale Rawlings. Visitation will follow the service.
