Simon Smith died this morning at 7:45 o'clock at his home, No. 409 Union Street, Columbia, from tuberculosis, after an illness of 14 months.

Deceased was a native of Columbia, and was 59 years of age. He is survived by his wife, Christiana, and the following children: Leonard, of Albany, N. Y.; Mrs. Roy Harvey, of New Freedom; Mrs. Thomas Kohr, of Harrisburg; Harry, John, Amos, Andrew, Daniel, Margaret, Ambrose and Sylvester, all of town. One brother, John Adam Smith, of Kinderbrook, and one sister, Mrs. Margaret Winkleman, of Steelton, also survive.

He was an employee of the Keeley Stove Works for over 25 years, and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Father Neufield Council, No. 3, P. C. B. L., Keystone Truck and Chemical Engine Company and the Mozart Maener Gesang Verein.

The funeral will be held from Holy Trinity Catholic Church, with High Requiem Mass, at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning. Interment will be made in the church cemetery on Barber Street.
