BERNARD MELLEN, REDFIELD, DIES
Camden, Sept. 16—Bernard F. Mellen, 62, died Tuesday afternoon, at the home of Edward McNamara, Redfield, where he had lived since last March. He had been ill four years.
He was born at Williamstown, Aug. 9, 1880, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Mellen. On Oct. 8, 1908, he married Edna Kenney of Osceola. The couple lived in Redfield and Mexico and four years ago they sold their farm. In the past year he had been a patient at Orwell. He was a member of St. Paul's Church, Redfield.
Besides his widow, he leaves a sister, Mrs. Joseph Kane, Utica; a foster son, Robert J. Campbell, U. S. Navy; nieces and nephews. Prayer service will be held Friday at 9 a. m. at the J. Floyd Smith funeral home, Miner Ave., and services at St. Paul's Church, Redfield, will be in charge of the pastor, the Rev. Edward P. Kenefic. Interment will be made in Holy Cross Cemetery, Williamstown.
