Virginia "Tootie" Eloise McMillan, 74, of 1842 Dillons Fork Road, Fieldale, died Sunday, June 28, 2009, at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro, N.C.

She was born Sept. 7, 1934, in Henry County to Thomas Leaton Williams and Bessie Greer Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William McMillan.

She retired from Stanley Furniture Co. and was a self-employed hair dresser. She was a member of Community Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Vickie Lynn Bowers of Bassett; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Pauline Hall of Roanoke and Jackie Mize of Fieldale; two brothers, Bobby Williams of Bassett and Carson Williams of Stanleytown; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bassett Funeral Service with Pastors Carson Williams and Buster Mize officiating. Burial will be in Henry Memorial Park.
