AGAWAM - Elaine (Fontaine) Watson, 87, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 15, 2013. Born in New Haven, CT daughter of the late William and Daisy (Pluff) Fontaine, she lived in Agawam since 1950 and recently moved to Newtown, CT. She was a 1943 graduate of Hamden High School in Hamden, CT. Elaine worked for the John H. Breck Company in West Springfield for many years. She was a member of the Agawam Congregational Church. She leaves her husband, Robert Watson, Jr., two daughters and their husbands, Nancy F. and Jeffrey Dorenfeld of Boston, MA, Patricia and David Gillespie of Council Bluffs, IA, a son and his wife, Robert W. and Celina Watson of Danbury, CT, a sister, Norma Simpson of South Salem, NY, and five grandchildren, Justin Shearer, Benjamin Dorenfeld, Sarah Watson, Elisabeth Watson and Faith Watson. The funeral will be Monday at 10 AM at the Agawam Congregational Church followed by burial in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Agawam Funeral Home is in charge. Donations may be made to the Agawam Congregational Church, 745 Main Street, Agawam, MA 01001.
