Born October 10, 1913, in Yarmouth, he was the son of Glenn Samuel and Pearl Leticia Conn Housman. On April 11, 1936, he married Elsie Frances Green in Burlington.
Mr. Housman farmed in Mediapolis and Sperry. He was a 1934 graduate of Yarmouth High School.
He was a member of the Sperry United Methodist Church and managed the church grounds. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Eagles, was a 4-H leader for 15 years and was on the Mediapolis Telephone Board.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
