Marsha Diane Boone, born on June 29, 1945, ascended to heaven on May 15, 2013 after a long courageous battle with CNS lymphoma.

She was known for her devotion to the love of her life Charles Boone and as a devoted mother and granny. Marsha was a wonderful seamstress who regularly sewed for her family and friends. She worked for the Duval County Public School Board for 15 years as an administrative assistant. Before her employment and after she volunteered a total of 21 years for Ramona Elementary, Stilwell Middle School, and Lavilla Middle School.

She leaves behind to celebrate her life: her devoted husband of 49 years, who never left her side Charles Boone, two children Charlotte (Patrick) Joyce, and Curtis Boone, eight grandchildren, Corey, Alan, Mary Elisabeth, Jordan, Andrew, Harley, Kathryn, William, a sister Paula Oglesby, brother Joey Harp and a host of brother and sister in-laws, cousins, and nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Community Hospice Acosta-Rua for the wonderful care they gave during her sickness. If you would prefer to make a donation in lieu of flowers please donate to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida in her name.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Friday May 17, 2013 at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd. Services will be held at Franklin Street Baptist Church, 2521 Franklin Street at 11:00 am Saturday May 18, 2013. Interment will follow the service at Evergreen Cemetery.
