Justin Michael Lane, 28, Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at his residence.

He was born on Sunday, September 2, 1984 in Martinsville, Indiana, to Franklin E. "Frank" Lane and Tammi J. (Hicks) Pryor.

After high school Justin served his country in the United States Army from 2004 until his retirement in 2010. He served two tours with the 101st Airborne in Iraq and was a Purple Heart recipient. Justin was wounded on January 11, 2008, which led to his retirement and his Purple Heart.

Justin is survived by his wife, Megan L. (King) Lane, whom he married on January 11, 2012; mother and stepfather, Tammi and Bryan Pryor of Martinsville; father and stepmother, Frank and Krista Lane of Martinsville; sister, Natashia Alvarado-Ruiz; sister and brother-in-law, Shanel and Terry Atkins; brother, James D. "JD" Pryor; grandparents, Mildred and Dallas Lane and David "Fuzz" Skaggs; stepgrandparents, Linda and Ron Kivett; stepgreat grandmother, Erma Scott; nieces, Andrea Peters, Elizabeth Alvarado-Ruiz, and Tori Atkins; and nephews Eli Alvarado-Ruiz and Gary Wade Grimes.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Rachel Skaggs and Steve Hicks.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Costin Funeral Chapel with Rev. Steve Moody officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Costin Funeral Chapel from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday one hour prior to the funeral service.

Burial with military honors will be at New South Park Cemetery.
