Mrs. Gladys Page-Anderson-Moak-McCoy passed away Friday, 17 May 2013 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS at age 96 years, 10 months and 20 days.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 18, 2013 from 5 – 8pm at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services will be Sunday at
2pm in the funeral home chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

Gladys was born in Kemper County, MS on June 27, 1916 the only daughter of George Walter Page and Willie Lee Conner-Page. Gladys was the first person in Mississippi to become a registered nurse with a GED education, of which she was proud to have accomplished. She graduated from Mattie Hersee Hospital School of Nursing and Meridian Junior College in Meridian MS and
Belhaven College in Jackson. Most of her nursing career was at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. She was a member of Mississippi State Nursing Assoc., Industrial Health Nurses of America Assoc., the P.M.A. Club of Jackson, and the Mississippi Business Women's Assoc. She was an active member of McLaurin Heights Baptist Church in Pearl for over 37 years before becoming too disabled to attend. She never lost her love for the Lord or all the wonderful and caring Ruth Sunday School classmates and her teacher Dot Sparkman. She will be missed greatly.

She is preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Roger Elmo, James Alvin, Roscoe Vernon, Francis Ervin and Alford Smith Page; her only son, Durward Ray Anderson; and grandson, Vance Branning.

She is survived by daughter, Doris Janelle Armstrong, son-in-law, Kenny Ray Armstrong of Florence MS; grandsons, Richard Ray Armstrong of Brandon, Dusty Anderson and Chris Anderson of Georgia; great grandsons, Jessie Ray Armstrong of Collinsville, MS and Dustin Anderson of Georgia. Great granddaughters; Brittany Marie Armstrong of Collinsville, Harley Nicole Armstrong of Brandon, Mallory Anderson, Taylor Elizabeth Anderson and Lillie Anderson of Georgia; many wonderful nieces and nephews that she loved very much; a very special daughter-in-law, Sandy Moree of Collinsville, MS; and a loving great niece, Cristy Lynn Gerth and daughter Gracie Lynn of Pearl, MS.
