Virginia Mae Williams, age 70, of Orlando, FL, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at Orlando Regional Medical Center's Lucerne Pavilion in Orlando, FL.

She was born July 9, 1941, in Bethel, MO, the daughter of Merletta Kinchelow. She lived her formative years in Shelbina, MO, where she attended elementary, junior high and high school and became a member of Second Baptist Church.

Virginia moved to Chicago, IL in the early 1960's and resided there until retiring in 1995, at which point she returned to Shelbina to be near her mother and aunt. Following their deaths, she moved to Orlando in 2006 to live near her daughter, son-in-law and her only grandchild.

She is survived by her daughter Kena (Williams) Lewis, her son-in-law Alvin Lewis and her grandchild Akeen Lewis, all of Orlando, FL; her son Kenneth Williams Jr., of Inglewood, CA; and a host of cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother; two aunts and six uncles.

Visitation will begin Saturday, July 30, 2011, at 9:00 a.m. preceding the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home in Shelbina. Burial will follow at the Shelbina Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Shelbina Literacy Council.
