Kenneth Lee Sexton, 72, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, May 17, 2013 at his residence.

He was born September 28, 1940 in Huntsville, Tennessee, to Ezra and Flora (Jeffers) Sexton. Kenneth married Joyce Ann Brown on May 15, 1970, and she survives.

Other survivors include a son, Kenneth Edward (wife, Kelly) Sexton of Fairland; daughters, Drucinda Jean Sexton and Betty Sue Sexton, both of Indianapolis; brother, Charles (wife, Nelda) Sexton of Greenwood; sisters, Bonnie Victory of Farmersville, Louisana; grandchildren, Andrew Sexton, Victoria Sexton, Elizabeth Sexton, Jessica Pletz and Katherine Sexton; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Margaret Morton.

Kenneth graduated from Huntsville High School in Huntsville, Tennessee in 1960.

He worked for 39 years as a machine operator for Paper Manufacturing, until the business closed in 2002.

Kenneth enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was an avid NASCAR fan.

He had volunteered as a yellow shirt safety patrolman at the Indianapolis 500 every year since 1970.
