Leonard Melvin Goodwin, 88, a carpenter and retired Central High School teacher, died Saturday at a St. Joseph nursing home. Mr. Goodwin, who was born in Iowa, resided at 3027 Seneca. He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Carpenters Union Local No. 210.
Survivors include a son, Chester W. Goodwin, Kansas City; a grandchild, and three great-grandchildren. His wife, Mrs. Bertha May Goodwin, died in 1972. Graveside services will be Monday at 1:30 at Memorial Park cemetery. The Rev. Coleman Akin will officiate.
