Mrs. Elizabeth Derr on Monday last at the residence of her son-in-law, Mr. John P. Flook at Bolivar, this valley, after a brief illness of pneumonia, aged 78 years. Mrs. Derr was a well-known and highly respected lady. She was the widow of Philip Derr, of this valley, and leaves two sons, John H. and Thomas, and two daughters, Mrs. John P. Flook and Mrs. Daniel Kepler, all residents of the valley. One son, Lewis E., and one daughter, who was the wife of Mr. Henry W. Summers, of Mt Philip, near Frederick, preceded her to the grave. Her funeral took place yesterday (Thursday) at the Lutheran church in this place, of which she had been a life-long member. Mrs. Derr's maiden name was Crone, and she was the last surviving member of her family.
