MOBLEY, Paul Dwight, born in Jacksonville, on Nov. 26, 1924, went to be with the Lord on May 12, 2013. Having served in the military for 28 years, beginning in WWII, 1943-1945, he was involved in three major battles, serving with the 85th Infantry Division: Rome-Arno, North Apennines, and Po Valley. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal in Italy and the Combat Medical Badge; Air Force Commendation Medal, from MacDill A.F.B. with First Oak Leaf Cluster; Meritorious Service Medal, Elmendorf A.F.B., Alaska. Having retired from the Air Force in 1972 as a CMS, he then worked for Kash and Karry for 16 years. Paul was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, Tampa, serving in many capacities over the years. Paul is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Drawdy Mobley of 59 years; one daughter, Karen Denise Mobley Hilliard; two sisters, Lawanna Balmer and Carolyn Griffin; and one brother, William Howard Mobley. Paul was predeceased by his son, Paul Dwight Jr.; parents, Clifford & Carrie Mobley of Homerville, GA; and sisters, Mildred Mobley, Betty McBride, and Louise Kent. A funeral service will be held at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, 6100 Memorial Hwy on Thursday, May 16th, 11 am. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral. Internment at Florida National Cemetery with military honors will follow
