An Alii Dies.
Mrs. Elizabeth V. Kalaiokamanu Richardson, the wife of Colonel John Richardson, died Wednesday evening at the residence of her brother, George N. Shaw. Deceased was 45 years of age and came from a prominent Hawaiian family of Lahaina. She was a sister-in-law of Mrs. Edmund Norrie. Endeavors were being made yesterday to communicate by telegraph with Captain Richardson, and the remains of the deceased lady have been embalmed. The cause of death was pneumonia. FUNERAL OF MRS. RICHARDSON

Funeral services for Mrs. John Richardson were held at St. Andrew's Cathedral yesterday afternoon. The Episcopal service was read by Rev. V. H. Kitcat. The pupils of St. Andrew's Priory sang a song entitled "When our heads are bowed with woe."

The casket was covered with beautiful floral offerings and draped with the Hawaiian flag. Among those present was Queen Liliuokalani.

The pall bearers were: Robert W. Wilcox, S. E. Kaiue, D. Kalauokalani, R. H. Makekau, Wm. White, S. Nowlien, E. B. Friel and S. F. Chillingworth. Interment was made at Kawaiahao cemetery. (Evening Bulletin (Honolulu, Hawaii), Mon. 08 Apr 1901, p. 6)
