A truck driver for 42 years, Sonny was last employed and retired from Bard Trucking in Leola after 10 years of service. He was a former member of the Columbia Fire Co. #1 and at one time belonged to the Shawnee Marching Unit.
In addition to his wife are his children, Richard E. Miltenberger, Jr., Wrightsville; John R. Miltenberger, England; Gary L. Miltenberger and his wife Jody, Marietta; Sharon L. Miltenberger, Columbia; Patricia A. wife of Steven Loreto, Marietta; Donna J. Miltenberger, Maytown; James A. Miltenberger, Elizabethtown and Susan M. Miltenberger, Wrightsville. Fourteen grandchildren and a sister, Virginia Preston, Columbia also survive. His son, Michael E. Miltenberger, and siblings, Russell, David and Hilda Webb, preceded him in death.
A funeral service will be held from the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc., 519 Walnut St., Columbia, PA on Monday at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Ronald L. Bachman officiating. Interment in Silver Spring Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday one hour prior to the service. Kindly omit flowers.
