Ms. Payne was born December 24, 1920 in Robertstown, GA to the late Oscar Herschel and Gertrude Adams Kimsey. A graduate of North Georgia College, she served her country as a civil employee at Robbins Army Air Base during World War II. She lived several years in Macon and retired from Dennis & Dennis Architects. She was also an active member at Center Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Payne; brothers, Cread, Latt, Cecil, and Bill Kimsey; sisters, Mary Lou Kimsey and Jessie Anderson.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews: ....as well as several great nieces and nephews. (removed for privacy)
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday January 2, 2014 at Center Baptist Church. The Rev. Michael Wilkes and Rev. Henry Loggins will officiate. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
