1st Obituary, printed in the Oct. 31, 1918 Tribune, Blair, Nebraska

Last week The Tribune recorded the death of Mrs. Jos. Sublet, who died on Monday. Last Sunday her son, Floyd, a young man about 17 years old, died, also of influenza, and was buried on Sunday. Other members of the family are sick.

THIRD MEMBER OF SUBLET FAMILY DIES OF INFLUENZA

The third member of the Sublet family passed away on November 1, 1918. George Pleasant Sublet had been ill with influenza for some time and died on Friday of last week, aged 21 years, five months, and five days. His mother died on Oct. 18, and his brother, Floyd, died Oct. 26, all of the dreadful malady, influenza.

George Sublet was born at Mondamin, Iowa, May 11, 1892. His wife, formerly Miss Evelyn Tarrent, a baby daughter, his father, Joseph Sublet, four brothers: Walter, Wesley, Alva and Howard, and two small sisters, Hulda and Ruby, survive him.

Rev. W.H. Underwood conducted the funeral on Saturday, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.

Another member of the Sublet family, George, the eldest son, aged 21 years, fell a victim to the prevailing disease, influenza, last Friday p.m., leaving a young wife and a little daughter, one year old. This makes the third death from this disease in this family. Funeral service was held on Sunday.
