Mr. David Jackson Wilmoth, age 56, of Dobson went home to be with the Lord on Thursday morning after a tragic automobile accident. He was born in Forsyth Co. on March 2, 1957 to the late Cleve Wilson Wilmoth and to Mary Faye Wood Wilmoth. He was employed by Pike Electric in Mt. Airy as a Lineman. He was a member of Zephyr Missionary Baptist Church. Surviving is his loving wife Melissa Spangler Wilmoth of the home; three delightful sons Brandon Wilmoth of Mt. Airy, Cody Wilmoth of the home, and Devon Wilmoth of the home; his mother Mary Faye Wood Wilmoth of Dobson; two sisters and brothers-in-law; Mary and Fred Smith of Dobson, Angela and Lanny Whitaker of State Road; two brothers and sister-in-law; James Wilmoth of Ronda, Gary and Peggy Wilmoth of Dobson; eight nephews; first wife and step-daughter; Margaret Cockerham of Mt. Airy, Amanda Draughn of Low Gap; special friends of the family; Nick Ostrum of Mt. Airy, Eddie and Tamara Martin of Dobson, Teddy and Benita Martin of State Road. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday May 19, 2013 in the Chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson, with burial to follow in the Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Craig Key and Rev. Steve Roberts will conduct the services. Pallbearers; Teddy Martin, Eddie Martin, Micheal Martin, Nick Ostrum, Brad Inman, and Brandon Inman. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening May 18, 2013 at Moody-Davis Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Zephyr Missionary Baptist Church 254 Dodson Rd. Elkin, NC 28621.
