Funeral services for Lorie Miller, conducted by the Rev. Jack C. Washington, were held Saturday, June 13, 2009, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Kingstree. Burial, directed by Henryhand Funeral Home, followed at Kingstree Cemetery. Mr. Miller died Tuesday, June 10, 2009, at his home. He was born December 30, 1930, in Kingstree, a son of the late Tom and Ludella Miller. He attended the public schools of Williamsburg County. He was a lifelong member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. He served with the United Methodist Men and sang with the Male Chorus. He was a retired employee of the South Carolina Department of Transportation after 32 years of service. He was first married to the late Eliza Barr. He was preceded in death by his son Ronnie and his daughter Laurie. Survivors are: his wife, Jessie Mae Miller of the home; his sons, Leroy Miller (Lillie Ann), Jessie Miller (Carolyn), Malcolm Winfield, and James McCutchen; his daughters, Sandra Fluitt (James), Sylvia Jackson (Jeffrey), and Wanda Bradford (Charles), his brothers, Samuel Miller and the Rev.
