Mr. Myers died suddenly of apoplexy at his home in Fairbury, 1210 Sixth street, at 6:20 p. m., Saturday, June 11, 1921, at the age of 71 years and 20 days.
George Albert Myers was born in Knox county, Ohio, May 22, 1850. He was married to Sarah A. Adams at Spikard, Mo., January 3, 1884. They first built a house in Kesterson and resided there three years, then moved onto section 16, south of Rose Creek, in this county and engaged in stock raising with D. C. Earl of Earl, New York. They engaged extensively in raising sheep for a number of years. Later Mr. Myers bought the ranch of Mr. Earl. He moved with his wife to Fairbury, Oct. 1, 1918.
He leaves his wife and three sons, C. C. Myers and H. V. Myers of this vicinity and A. K. Myers of Seattle, Wash. He united with the Silver Creek Church of Christ in 1910.
Funeral services were conducted by Edmund Ratts, a minister of that church, living at St. John, Kans., at 10 a. m. Thursday, a large number of friends gathering at the services. Burial was in the Fairbury cemetery.
