Crystal A. Van Steenburgh, age 81, of 1325 North 8th St., Manitowoc, died on Sunday morning, May 12, 2013 at Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation - Northridge, Manitowoc.
She was born on October 25, 1931 in Excelsior, WI daughter of the late Victor and Alice (Beaver) Morgan. Crystal was a graduate of Blue River High School with the class of 1949. Crystal was employed as a bookkeeper for many years and also worked for 21 seasons at Lakeside foods as an inspector. She enjoyed playing the French Horn when she was younger. Crystal also enjoyed watching figure skating on T.V. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Sharon and Jim Cottrell, Cypress, TX; one son and daughter-in-law: Mark and Connie Van Steenburgh, Manitowoc; six grandchildren: Kelsey Cottrell, Kara Cottrell, Austin Van Steenburgh, Aaron Van Steenburgh, Hannah Van Steenburgh and Owen Van Steenburgh; one sister and brother-in-law: Betty and Eldon Wetter, Ohio. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by four brothers: Morris Morgan, Clifton Morgan, Eugene Morgan and Virgil Morgan; and one sister: Virginia Bartels.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, May 17, 2013 at the All-Care Reception Center, 925 South 14th St., Manitowoc. Officiating at the memorial service will be Rev. Nancy Dvorachek. Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc and Crystal will be laid to rest at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, May 17, 2013 at the All-Care Reception Center, Manitowoc from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM.
