Maude Marie Dully was born at Groveland, Ill., July 21, 1876, and died at her home at Fisher, Ill., Feb. 20, 1922. She grew to womanhood and passed her happy days and youth at the old home, surrounded by loved ones and friends. On Feb. 23, 1899, she was united in marriage to Daniel Gerber of Tre­mont. In 1901 they moved to Fisher where they have since resided. To Mr. and Mrs. Gerber, six children were born all of whom survive to mourn the loss of a dear mother. They are as follows: Calar (Clara), Lester, Arthur, Roy, Alma and Robert. In 1905 Mrs. Gerber united with the Church of Christ of Fisher and re­mained a faithful member to the end. She was interested in all of the work of the church, but more especially in the Bible school where she was a teacher for many years. On Feb. 20, 1922, she departed this life and entered into her eternal rest. In addition to her husband and the children, she is survived by her aged parents, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Dully of Groveland and the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Henry Klein, Mrs. Louis Krug, Mrs. Elizabeth Thielbar and George Dully of Groveland, Mrs. Noah Birkey of Morton, Mrs. Jesse Stormer of Mackinaw and Jos. Dully of Deer Creek. One sister, Caroline, died in infancy. Mrs. Gerber has been ill for many month but bore her suffering patiently, being comforted and strengthened by her father above. Funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at the Christian church of Fisher … Interment was in Willow Brook cemetery at Fisher. Those who attend the funeral from Groveland were: Mrs. Elizabeth Thielbar, Mrs. Henry Klein, Mrs. Anna Krug, George Dully, Henry Ackerman; Mr. and mrs. Jos. Dully from Deer Creek; Chris. Gerber of Tremont and J. E. Gerber, Mr. and Mrs. Noah Birky and Aaron Birky of Morton.
