Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Richardson Hodges, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Seth Richardson, and wife of Mr. John T. Baldwin, pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church, of which she was long a member. The services were largely attended and there were many beautiful floral tributes, the casket being covered with a double spray of lilies, carnations and ferns. Mr. S. W. Treakle, Miss Clara Treakle, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Forrest sang, "Jesus Savior Pilot Me," and "In Thy Cleft O Rock of Ages," accompanied on the piano by Mrs. Susie F. Nelson. Oh, these parting scenes will end,
Some sweet day, bye and bye,
We shall gather, friend with friend,
Some sweet day, bye and bye;
There before our Father's throne,
When mists and clouds have flown,
We shall know as we are known,
Some sweet day, bye and bye.
She was laid to rest in the family cemetery with her children, to await the coming of an aged companion. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Laura B. Treakle, five children, George, Jesse, Sallie, Ira and Annie, many grand-children, great grand-children and other loved ones.
