Mr. William V. Aleshin, Sr. "Wild Bill" 70 of 24050 Cutbank Rd, Mckenney entered into eternal rest Friday, May 11, 2013. William was a born in and Hartford, Connecticut to the late William and Mildred Barrett Aleshin. William was a graduate of Ellsworth High School in South Windsor, CT. He served in the United States Army and was part of the BTRYC, 1st Msl Bn 65th Arty. He was also decorated as a sharpshooter in the Special Forces in Vietnam. William was an important member of the American Legion Riders Post 2 where he served as Sgt. at Arms. He was also the founder of the Patriots M.C.C. of Dinwiddie County. William was a volunteer for the Mckenney Fire Dept, and a member of C.E.R.T. He served and contributed to the community and close friends at length. He will be missed greatly by all that knew him. God bless him and all hopes he is at peace. He is survived by his loving son; William Aleshin, Jr. "Billy" and step daughter; Cynthia Sasso both of Connecticut, two devoted lifelong friends James C. McAllister, Jr. and Donny Ucello and, a host of other relatives and friends. His life celebration will be on Friday May 17, 2013 at 12:00 pm at the Big Bethel Baptist Church, 10110 M.D. Ragsdale St, Mckenney. The burial will follow at Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia. A gathering of friends and family will be held at The American Legion Post 2 in 820 Winfield Rd, Petersburg after the Burial.
