Eleanor was born 1 August 1938 to Louie and Elfreda (nee: Schultz) Herre in Rensselaer, Indiana. She worked as a factory worker for Intec in Morocco. Eleanor was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She passed away 14 May 2013 at her home in Kniman.
She is survived by her children, three sons and three daughters, eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, Louie and Elfreda Herre, and siblings Elvin Herre, Gene Herre, Phyllis Black and Karen Ringen.
Friends are invited to visit with the family on Saturday, May 18, 2013 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church. Services for Eleanor will take place at the church at 11:30 on Saturday, with Pastor David Mueller officiating. Interment will take place in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.
