mother of Haley Engblom and was married to Joshua Engblom. Vanessa K. Engblom Edwards, age 26, of Marshall formerly of Burlington, died January 20, 2011. Vanessa was born on March 10, 1984 in Marshall to Robert C. and Sherry K. (Burdick) Engblom. She lived the majority of her life in the Burlington area. Vanessa attended Union City Schools. She had worked at Firekeepers Casino, and Denny's Restaurant in Marshall where she was a server. She was married on February 20, 2009 in Battle Creek to Joshua A. Edwards. Vanessa enjoyed walking and riding bicycles for recreation. She liked to watch movies and was a reality television show fan! Vanessa was an independent and strong willed person. You never had to worry about what was on her mind! She was full of life and always had a smile for everyone. She loved her daughter and family and cherished any time able to be spent with them. Vanessa is survived by her husband Joshua; her daughter Haley L. Engblom, her parents Sherry Engblom of Burlington and Robert Engblom of Homer, her sisters Angela M. Engblom of Marshall and Ashley M. Engblom of Homer, her brothers Robert P. Engblom of Athens and Timothy S. Engblom of Edwardsburg, and her grandmothers Rita Engblom of Marshall and Peggy Burdick of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers Douglas Engblom and Richard Burdick. Friends may call at Craig K. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, Jan. 24, at 11AM at Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Pastor Martin Burdick officiating.
