Blanche Henrietta Zevenbergen, 81,of Baldwin, Wis. died suddenly July 9, 2000, at Baldwin Area Medical Center.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 12 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Reformed Church in Baldwin. Pastor Harlan De Jong officiated.

Blanche was born on May 7, 1919, on the family farm in Orange City, the daughter of Henry and Carrie (Van Wechel) Luchtenburg. Her grandparents were one of the first settlers to this area. Blanche attended Orange City Public School.

On Feb. 15, 1939 she married John Zevenbergen at her parents home. In 1957, the Zevenbergens moved to Baldwin.

Survivors include her husband John; six daughters and their spouses: Susan and Marion De Jong of Woodville, Geraldine and Paul Lokker of Baldwin, Joyce and Mick Wynveen of Baldwin, Mary and TomLanger of Baldwin, Bonnie and Jerry Van Someren of Baldwin and Margene and Steve Nygaard of Baldwin; a son and his wife, John Jr. and Penny Zevenbergen of Osceola; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; sisters, Diane Verdoorn of Ashton,Mina Fedders of Orange City; sister-in-law, Evelyn Luchtenburg of Ashton and Nancy Luchtenburg of Worthington, Minn.; a brother-in-law, Robert Bonnecroy of Orange City; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Jodi Wynveen; sisters, Jessie, Christina and Ellen; and brothers, John, Adolph and Leonard.
